This instrument varies from previous models of the Oval Hole Archtop in several ways. Most importantly, previous versions have been 17" bodies with 25.4" scales. This guitar's 16" body, in combination with a 24.9" scale, makes it very tonally balanced and very comfortable to play and hold. The low end is full and round, the mid-range and high end are very clear and bright. This quick response and big sound make this instrument a real joy to play. An unusual detail of this guitar is the "violin" color finish. This is a new color, available as an option on any custom ordered instrument. Lastly, the body binding is European maple with a simple black purfling. The warm coloring and wood binding combine to make the overall appearance of this guitar very elegant.
