The Gold Standard evolved from a one-off prototype known as the SilverLine. Now built using 14k gold wire in place of silver, the Gold Standard tops the Andersen archtop line.
Construction details include a unique design using a gold wire inlay to divide the deep black ebony and striped macassar ebony in the peghead, fretboard and tailpiece, as well as bordering the macassar ebony pickguard. The body is built with our highest grade German spruce and maple, and bound in wood. Pictured here in a violin finish: a rich blend of red and amber coloring under high gloss lacquer.

Construction details include engraved mother of pearl inlays, ivoroid binding around the body, f-holes, neck and peghead, and the most highly figured domestic maple for back, sides and neck.
